SEEKING AFTER JESUS
Anything that you do not confront won’t pass, it will keep staring you in the face.
The more you are seeking after Jesus, the lesser your problems will be. I share some scriptures and pick my points from there as I proceed. Matthew Chapter 20 vs. 29-34 says:
29 And as they departed from Jericho, a great multitude followed him.
30 And, behold, two blind men sitting by the wayside, when they heard that Jesus passed by, cried out, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
31 And the multitude rebuked them because they should hold their peace: but they cried the more, saying, Have mercy on us, O Lord, thou son of David.
32 And Jesus stood still, and called them, and said, what will ye that I shall do unto you?
33 They say unto him, Lord, that our eyes may be opened.
34 So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.
This scripture is an example of men who seek Jesus and found him, he came through for them even when circumstances surrounding them are giving a negative signal.
What brought about the miracle of these blind men are:
- That they realize they were blind men; you have solved your problem to a greater extent by finding out exactly what the problem is.
- They were on the wayside. No one was near Jesus, Jesus was on a journey, but they have to call the attention of him whom they know has the answer to their blindness. Jesus can visit you anywhere if you are prepared to have an encounter with him.
- Their words created the atmosphere for their miracles. A closed mouth is a closed destiny, Cry to God over that problem, talk to the man. God answers prayers through men.
Let’s see 1st Samuel chapter 2 vs. 1-3 days: 1 And Hannah prayed, and said, My heart rejoiceth in the Lord, mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2 There is none holy as the Lord: for there is none beside thee: neither is there any rock like our God.
3 Talk no more so exceeding proudly; let not arrogancy come out of your mouth: for the Lord is a God of knowledge, and by him, actions are weighed.
ARE YOU TRULY SEEKING TO HAVE AN ENCOUNTER WITH JESUS?
Our hearts should be hungry for Jesus. See John chapter 14 vs. 13: 13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John chapter 14 vs. 24 says:Â 24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
No unbeliever has more advantages than a Christian. Our hearts should be hungry for Jesus so that he will notice it.
Jesus stopped for the blind men, your present needs are important to God and he will leave all he’s doing and give attention to you when he sees a genuine desire and cries for God’s Devine intervention.

YOU HAVE BEEN TALKING TO GOD, HAVE YOU BEEN LISTENING TO HIM
What is Jesus calling to your attention, Acts chapter 9 vs. 4-6:Â 4, and he fell to the earth and heard a voice saying unto him, Saul, Saul, why persecutest thou me?
5 And he said, who art thou, Lord? And the Lord said I am Jesus whom thou persecutest: it is hard for thee to kick against the pricks.
6 And he trembling and astonished said, Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do.
There is no situation God has not raised help for. The answer to your prayer is God giving someone an assignment over your life. Let the faith in our hearts align with the words that we speak.
In summary, let’s read Isaiah chapter 60 vs. 1 -22 and always pray with this scripture for the rest of the year.
  1 Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon thee.
  2 For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
  3 And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.
  4 Lift up thine eyes round about, and see: all they gather themselves together, they come to thee: thy sons shall come from far, and thy daughters shall be nursed at thy side.
  5 Then thou shalt see, and flow together, and thine heart shall fear, and be enlarged; because the abundance of the sea shall be converted unto thee, the forces of the Gentiles shall come unto thee.
  6 The multitude of camels shall cover thee, the dromedaries of Midian and Ephah; all they from Sheba shall come: they shall bring gold and incense, and they shall shew forth the praises of the Lord.
  7 All the flocks of Kedar shall be gathered together unto thee, the rams of Nebaioth shall minister unto thee: they shall come up with acceptance on mine altar, and I will glorify the house of my glory.
  8 Who are these that fly as a cloud and as the doves to their windows?
  9 Surely the isles shall wait for me, and the ships of Tarshish first, to bring thy sons from far, their silver and their gold with them, unto the name of the Lord thy God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he hath glorified thee.
  10 And the sons of strangers shall build up thy walls, and their kings shall minister unto thee: for in my wrath I smote thee, but in my favor have I had mercy on thee.
  11 Therefore thy gates shall be open continually; they shall not be shut day nor night; that men may bring unto thee the forces of the Gentiles, and that their kings may be brought.
  12 For the nation and kingdom that will not serve thee shall perish; yea, those nations shall be utterly wasted.
  13 The glory of Lebanon shall come unto thee, the fir tree, the pine tree, and the box together, to beautify the place of my sanctuary; and I will make the place of my feet glorious.
  14 The sons also of them that afflicted thee shall come bending unto thee, and all they that despised thee shall bow themselves down at the soles of thy feet; and they shall call thee; The city of the Lord, The Zion of the Holy One of Israel.
  15 Whereas thou has been forsaken and hated, so that no man went through thee, I will make thee an eternal excellency, a joy of many generations.
  16 Thou shalt also suck the milk of the Gentiles, and shalt suck the breast of kings: and thou shalt know that I the Lord am thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob.
  17 For brass I will bring gold, and for iron, I will bring silver, and for wood brass, and stones iron: I will also make thy officers peace and thine exactors righteousness.
  18 Violence shall no more be heard in thy land, wasting nor destruction within thy borders; but thou shalt call thy walls Salvation and thy gates Praise.
  19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.
  20 Thy sun shall no more go down; neither shall thy moon withdraw itself: for the Lord shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.
  21 Thy people also shall be all righteous: they shall inherit the land forever, the branch of my planting, the work of my hands, that I may be glorified.
  22 A little one shall become a thousand and a small one a strong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.
